Electromyography-based Fatigue Assessment During Endurance Testing by Different Vibration Training Protocols

چکیده
Objectives: This study presents a method of assessing muscle fatigue during endurance testing at 50% maximal voluntary contraction (MVC) using electromyography (EMG) information as indirect indices fatigability in the forearm muscles, namely, flexor digitorum superficialis (FDS); carpi ulnaris (FCU); extensor (ECU) and radialis brevis (ECRB)." (ECRB). Methods: A randomized comparative experimental design was used test with 8 VT protocols; based on different combinations vibration frequency (35 & 45 Hz), amplitude (3±0.5g 9±0.5g), exposure duration (30 60 seconds), i.e., were given to participants for 4 days. random sampling conducted from two groups (n=56/group), follows: individuals Sedentary Lifestyle (SL) group Construction Workers (CW). Results: Multivariate Analysis Variance (MANOVA) results indicated significant increase EMG rms, median frequency, waveform length, mean absolute value (P<0.001), variance signal (P<0.05) (except ECU SL ECRB CW signal) after all muscles both research groups. Therefore, an parameter grip task revealing elevation is indicative fiber fatigue. Furthermore, strongest correlation found between WL (r=0.471, P<0.001), rms (r=0.401, P<0.001) only. Discussion: The patterns represented spectral parameters signal, enabling real-time analysis. Additionally, surface useful indirectly evaluating performance test.

EMG-based Fatigue Assessment During Endurance Testing With Different VT Protocols
BACKGROUND: Muscle fatigue can be defined as the failure of a muscle to maintain a reasonably expected force output. The multivariate approach to fatigue assessment is used because the multiple (EMG) feature provides more information than anyone. OBJECTIVE: This study presents a method of assessing muscle fatigue during endurance testing at 50% maximal voluntary contraction (MVC) using electro...
متن کاملVibration fatigue in process pipework: A risk based assessment methodology
Risk Based Inspection (RBI) has been used for some time to optimise inspection schedules based on assessing the risk of various corrosion related degradation mechanisms. However, one degradation mechanism that has been traditionally overlooked is that of vibration induced fatigue. A proactive methodology for assessment of vibration induced fatigue was published in 2000 as part of a Joint Indust...
متن کاملWhole Body Vibration Training - Improving Balance Control and Muscle Endurance
Exercise combined with whole body vibration (WBV) is becoming increasingly popular, although additional effects of WBV in comparison to conventional exercises are still discussed controversially in literature. Heterogeneous findings are attributed to large differences in the training designs between WBV and "control" groups in regard to training volume, load and type. In order to separate the a...
متن کاملThe effects of different resistance training protocols on muscular strength and endurance development in children.
BACKGROUND Previous research has shown that children can increase their muscular strength and muscular endurance as a result of regular participation in a progressive resistance training program. However, the most effective exercise prescription regarding the number of repetitions remains questionable. OBJECTIVE To compare the effects of a low repetition-heavy load resistance training program...
متن کاملIncreased fatigue resistance of respiratory muscles during exercise after respiratory muscle endurance training.
Respiratory muscle fatigue develops during exhaustive exercise and can limit exercise performance. Respiratory muscle training, in turn, can increase exercise performance. We investigated whether respiratory muscle endurance training (RMT) reduces exercise-induced inspiratory and expiratory muscle fatigue. Twenty-one healthy, male volunteers performed twenty 30-min sessions of either normocapni...
